Dear Secondary Families
Service as Action (SA) in the MYP, and Creativity Activity Service (CAS) in the DP Programmes is a cornerstone of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, embodying its commitment to holistic education and global citizenship. It instills in students a sense of empathy, responsibility, and agency by actively engaging them in community service and meaningful action. Through Service as Action, students not only contribute positively to their communities but also develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. Many of our students regularly engage in SA or CAS and it can be a very rewarding experience for all of those involved. It’s all about being kind, responsible, and making a positive impact wherever you go. Please take time to speak to your child about what they have been doing and continue to encourage them to get out there and continue to make a difference!
