Our recent lessons explored “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” and delved into character analysis. Students engaged in creative activities, drawing and cutting out characters from the story. Next, we will focus on understanding the story’s setting, encouraging students to depict it through their drawings. Utilizing a storyboard, students collaborate to reenact and retell the narrative with peers. Additionally, they formed groups to construct bridges using various materials for the goats to cross. Through discussions, we brainstormed ways the Billy Goats could care for their grassland, fostering critical thinking about sustainable practices. This hands-on approach allows students to deepen their understanding of storytelling elements while promoting teamwork and environmental awareness.
