Dear KG1 Families,

Ramadan Mubarak!!!

In our classroom, our rock collection serves as a versatile tool for education and creativity. Beyond their geological significance, these rocks become the protagonists in our storytelling adventures. During our numeracy exploration this week, we engaged in a hands-on learning experience with our rocks. Initially, we sorted them into groups based on their size, fostering an understanding of classification and comparison. The counting exercise followed, where we meticulously counted each group and then organized them in sets of ten for a comprehensive total. Through this process, we discovered that our storytelling stones basket contains an impressive 72 stones.

This week was filled with exciting discoveries for our little explorers as they stumbled upon mushrooms on our lawns, sparking lively discussions and curiosity. In response, we delved into a ;earning journey, immersing ourselves in books and video clips to gain insights into the fascinating world of mushrooms and their transformations during rain.
We also had our librarian, Ms Maryam, in our classroom. During her visit, she shared with us a special book about Ramadan.
Last but not least a few photos from our week…
Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead and a Kareem Ramadan…
Warm regards,
Ms Nicholson and Buthania
