This week in G7 I&S we took the opportunity provided by the extreme weather to reconnect with our map learning during semester one. We looked at live weather projections and thought about the way color and movement contributed to our understanding of a real-time event. Students excitement for this exploration was in no small measure helped by the darkening skies and looming clouds outside.

Next week, as parents, you will have the opportunity to meet with subject teachers to reflect on the Semester 1 reports, and contribute to goal setting processes with your child. You will receive meetings sign-up links via email, and I would welcome the opportunity to sit and talk with you about your child’s progress and targets. This round of meetings are important because we have now entered the part of the school year that passes very quickly. Right now, June may seem far away, but if we consider time lost to holidays, rain days, shortened days etc., June will be here in the blink of an eye.
