Dear Families,
Clearly this week did not go as expected and it is unfortunate that our plans for Oman Week were not able to go ahead as we had originally hoped. Looking at photos and videos from the region gave an indication of the scale of the problems caused by the rainfall and our thoughts are with those who have been affected.
Oman Week II (3rd – 5th March)
While we have had to postpone trips for this week, we have been fortunate to be able to reschedule most of the trips for the week of 3rd – 5th March. We are very grateful to our providers for their flexibility and understanding. The plans remain largely the same and emails have been sent to all parents of students who were due to attend trips with further information. Please feel free to email the trip leaders who were included in the email if you have any questions.
Parent Teacher Conferences Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st February from 3:15 – 6:30 pm.
Due to the changes to our Oman Week activities, we are now conducting our Parent Teacher Conferences on these days. This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s subject teachers about their current progress. You can follow up any comments in the Semester 1 Report and help your child to set goals for the remainder of this academic year. Please sign up on the sheets that were sent by email. All appointments will be in LC2. We look forward to meeting with you.
International Mother Tongue Day (Wednesday 21st February)
To recognise and celebrate this day, we will be organising some activities during the regular school day on Wednesday of next week. We have a variety of languages spoken by students and staff throughout the school and on this day in particular we will acknowledge and celebrate these. We are encouraging all students to wear their national colours on the day.
