Recently we have been exploring geometry, looking at a range of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) shapes. We have been busy learning that 2D shapes exist on flat surfaces like paper, while 3D shapes can be observed from different angles as they have a body that takes up space. Using our research skills we have noticed that shapes are all around us, and we documented a range of shapes in our environment. We constructed many shapes, designed and built 3D structures and went on a shape hunt around the school.
