Finally, our unit on introductory genetics has ended with a research on Genetically Modified Organisms and the ethical implications of such a scientific venture. It was great to see the collaboration and communication among students. Suck skills are necessary to excel in life and inculcating such in students at an early stage needs to be encouraged. The confidence with which students presented their research findings is admirable and I hope to see more of such presentations in the future. Now, a solid foundation in science has been laid in grade 8. It is expected that when they get to grade 9 in the coming academic year, they will not find the work overwhelming.
