With eAssessment on-screen exams completed, Grade 10 students are making one last push to prepare for the final classroom assessments of the school year before a much deserved summer holiday. This is an important and exciting time for them as they complete the MYP and prepare to enter the Diploma Programme in the new school year. In Individuals and Societies, students are engaged in one final mini-unit on The History of Human Rights. We are using the case study of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States to explore the ways in which social change has occurred through challenges to unjust power structures. This unit will provide useful context for those students taking DP Global Politics in Grade 11. The unit will culminate in an in-class written exam on Sunday, 4 June.
