Invasive species are species brought in from other habitats or environments which tend to pose a threat to native species that are already existing in the habitat. Their control requires adequate knowledge of their biology and the feeding relationships that exist in their environments. As part of their ecological studies, students have been exploring various invasive species in their individual countries, the effects these species have on the native species and the ways science is being used or could be used to control these new invaders. The unit is expected to expose students to a wide range of ATL skills  such as research and social skills. The research will end up in a presentation, which is meant to boost their communicative skills.
