In Individuals and Societies we finished unit 3. Students investigated the population structure of a particular country and created an infographic. They included population pyramids and information on birth rates, death rates and life expectancy. Students also studied the attempts by governments to control population growth and the issues surrounding increasing and decreasing population. they then did a sped share of their findings.
In English we completed unit 3 and students created captions for news images, analysing how language is used to create a message. Unit 4 is called ‘How do I know what is right?’ Students will look at the ethical and moral questions involved in surviving in Mao’s China by reading the book: ‘Red Scarf Girl’.
