Grade 9
is the first of a two year program in MYP to prepare students for the e-Assessment. So it is similar to DP where the syllabus also spans two years. In order for students to have some time in the grade 10 year to revise two-years worth of work, the first year is necessarily more loaded. It is a fast year, with multiple units and lots of content and concepts to learn. This requires focus, discipline and a willingness to put in the effort.
At the moment it seems that Grade 9 is not there. We are five weeks into school and should already be settled into routines. Some constant review every night (5-10 minutes), completing tasks on time, being focused in class are all required for success.
Focus grows from discipline.Put in the hard work and motivation will increase.
