In the first two weeks of term Grade 9 has revisited the underlying approaches and expectations of MYP. They have started their fist unit which has travel as its topic. Students will be reviewing many different genres of literature related to travel and asking questions about audience and purpose. They will create adverts and vlogs.
This year we will also be studying propaganda (using ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell) and hysteria (using ‘The Crucible’ by Arthur Miller.) In addition there will be an interdisciplinary unit with Individuals and Societies called ‘Voices From the Past.’
