In English students have completed their fourth unit of the year. They watched the movie ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’ and compared it to the book. They wrote an essay comparing the two using the PEEL (Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link approach). They explained why the movie changed characters or events. In the final unit, called ‘As You Like It,’ students will working in groups to create their own web pages of book reviews.
In Individuals and Societies students have also completed their fourth unit. They investigated, in groups, a particular civilization for the Middle Ages, inquiring into when and where it existed, what life was like there and the role of women. They then presented their findings to the rest of the group
