In English students are working in their poetry anthologies.   They are applying their knowledge of poetic form and devices, such as rhyme, rhythm, personification, onomatopoeia and metaphor, to their own poems.  They also investigated nonsense poems, haiku and acrostics and wrote their own versions of these.  Next,  students  will then pick their favourite poem of the anthology and present it to their peers.

In Individuals and Societies we continued with our investigation into environments.   We took a deep dive into climate graphs: what they include, how they are set out and what they can tell us.   We are now investigating eco-systems and the interdependence of flora and fauna.   After that students will inquire into how humans change these eco-systems.
