In our new English unit, we have spent the last three weeks reading articles about dystopian fears from the dangers of artificial intelligence to the censorship of books. We are focused on critical thinking and being able to recognize when legitimate concerns are raised and when to see through appeals to fear. The students have either individually or with a partner taken an article from class and analyzed it to examine the validity of the author’s arguments and these posters are really something to look at.
