The DP and Grade 10 students have been conducting experimental work this week. The grade 10’s have investigated the energy in a falling ball and the Grade 11’s have been processing and evaluating Specific Heat Capacity. The grade 10’s are building their practical skills ready for the Diploma Programme and the Grade 11’s are building their practical skills in preparation for their individual investigation. This investigation includes posing a research question, collecting the data to answer it, using an efficient data collection system, collecting and analyzing the data. The end point is to be able to answer their research question, in 6-12 pages, with some certainty when compared to a literature value. This Individual Assessment forms part of their final grade for their score in Physics.
