During the last three weeks we have continued our investigation into travel writing. Students looked at examples of travel writing from books, for newspapers and blogs. Then they identified common

techniques and differences between the text types. In addition they practiced their own travel writing and completed our first summative assignment in which students analyzed blog writing techniques. We are approaching the end of the unit and our last topic is travel programmes/ documentaries and blogs. Students will submit one more summative assignment in which they will be expected to produce their own travel blog or blog.
