Design students learned to make a basic flour dough last week. This week they learned about two savory sauces.
The first sauce, an herb and garlic sauce (see image) is made with basil, parsley or cilantro; a little mint; garlic; yogurt; and a fresh avocado. It was a delicious for most and a little strange for some… ask your child what they thought of it.
The second was a sun-dried tomato pesto with garlic, roasted red peppers, red chili pepper flakes, and fresh basil. While we did not use any nuts in our version, this pesto is very nice with ground almonds or walnuts.
All recipes used are available on Google Classroom. Consider having your child make you pizza this weekend.
