The grade 10 have been looking forward to what the next 2 years will look like for their University entrance exams: the Diploma Programme or another 2-year program. They have been reviewing the practical skills that will be required in science and grading a real student submission of the Science Internal Assessment. These assessments count for 20% of their final grade in 2 years (for those following the Diploma Programme). They have reflected on how they graded the work compared to the real grade. From this, they deduced where they were, either too harsh, too lenient or Goldilocks (just right!). This will be invaluable when they come to complete their own IA’s in the next 2 years.
