Following on from the Shoemaker and the Elves fairy tale, we designed and made our own shoes during STEAM time. At the start it was really tricky. We weren’t quite sure how to make them 3D. Once we figured this out, it was all go! We used scrap paper to make our prototypes and this gave the shoes quite a zazzy look. Then we made them out of cardboard and decorated them. We loved the challenge and opportunity to be creative and express ourselves.
