The grade 8s have been working hard for the past couple of weeks to learn the skill of analysing advertising techniques which culminated in a formal essay this week. To let their creative juices flow, they have been assigned to work in groups to create a video or print advertisement using the techniques learned in class. This is a fun project that will not be marked. While I thought that the students might not be interested in it because it does not count towards a grade, they proved me wrong by jumping into the task with gusto. If I could have posted a video here, you could have heard the enthusiastic chatter and felt the energy in the classroom. Alas, you have to make do with pictures. I look forward to seeing their creations after the break!
