This week in grade 8 I&S we looked at the impact of natural disasters and created action plans for an imaginary 7.0 earthquake, highlighting priorities and short, mid, and long-term strategies. We then used our critical thinking skills and Jamboard to compare the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic with the impacts of natural disasters, specifically looking at humanitarian needs, economics, environmental, tourism, religion, and the arts.
