What a wonderful week we have had reading and writing stories. This week I read a story with grade 1, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.” After they made their own books so they could create and write their own stories. The grade 2 class had 2 different stories, “Don’t Worry Douglas” and “Monsters Love Underpants.” They are learning about different types of reading and writing. The students are encouraged to express their likes and dislikes about the books which hopefully will lead onto discussions about literature. Two mornings a week I have the pleasure of taking Ms Cheryl’s class for Brain Gym, we sing action songs and played the go find a colour game. We all had great fun and it set us up for a days learning.
