Hello Abis Primary!
It has been a pure delight meeting some of the amazing 2nd to 6th grade students this week. What fun I have had talking about books and reading with them! With the second graders we read a lovely book called “All are Welcome” by Alexandra Penfold and Suzanne Kaufman. I was even asked to read it a second time, and many of the students had fun recognizing the different flags they saw in the book. With the 3rd to 5th graders we read one of my personal favorites, “Chrysanthemum” by Kevin Henkes. Students then created pictures and recordings or videos to share about the books they like. I saw many familiar books, and lots of new ones I will need to read. I can’t wait to finish meeting the rest of the students to read and talk about the books they like!
