In Grade 7, students have looked at the expressive colors used by German-American painter Wolf Kahn. Our goal is to create our own unique landscapes based on places that are important to us. In order to be successful, we need to make our own color wheels, practice using rhythm and grouping of shapes to make our compositions interesting, and finally to build skills in blending oil pastels. Students have been choosing either two complementary colors or three split-complementary colors, then using those to color a sketch. Watch this space for the finished works!
