We are finishing up our Chemistry 12 Biochemistry Option unit and did a lab to determine what juice contains more vitamin C in it. We learned that most commercial juices regardless of the label are mostly apple or grape juice (both low in vitamin C). We also learned that juice makers add extra vitamin C whose antioxidant properties make it good for us and good to keep the juice from losing color and flavor.

This was a good lab to remind us about stoichiometry of reactions, standardization of reagents and titration techniques
