Students in Grade 7 took on the roles of anthropologists from the future. They “dug up” various objects from the 21st century and imagined the types of rituals for which they might have been used. There were social bonding rituals, coming of age rituals, special holiday celebrations, and more. Presentations took on a variety of forms as well, from skits to TV commercials to a recorded football match.

Here are a selection of finished ritual objects, made using papier-mâché and a variety of other 3D construction materials.
