On the course of the last couple of months, we have been creating our number line in class. We started by decorating a number of student’s choice with various tactile materials. Then we explored the numbers by counting objects, looking for a certain number of items in the classroom environment and sharing the findings with each other. Later on, the students sorted the photos of sets of objects they had counted previously according to the number. Then they chose coloured paper to stick the numbers and the photographs on. In the end, we ordered the numbers and sticked them on the wall.
