After a long and gruesome journey, G7&8 English finally reached the bloody climax of Macbeth! As seemingly impossible prophecies came true, the psychotic King realized, along with the students, that he had been played for a fool by the evil witches. Just afterwards, he completely lost his head. Literally. Thank you Macduff, we can only hope this act brought you closure for the loss of your family at the hands of the tyrant.

The class are now considering a number of events from the play, along with the concept of evil, in their summative assessments. Each student will write a short script for two or three characters where they explore how different moments or actions might be seen by different characters. Hopefully this will give them some creative and intellectual outlets over the break if they find themselves pining for some mental stimulation.
