Gathering the French skills that many students bring to Grade 7 and adding the talents of our new students, our current Grade 7 have been focussing on French sounds and building on short conversations. We are now embarking on our first new unit together in which we will be creating towns in French, visiting each other’s towns and interacting in French based on what we will find there! This will enable students to be creative, collaborative and use the skills and knowledge gained in their work on maps. Budding architects are at the stage of deciding what they would each like to see in their town and we will be exploring them in French over the next few weeks. I think they will have some surprises for me and each other…
