Last Thursday, teachers benefitted from Mr. Todd Davis’s expertise on service learning as he shared his key understandings and strategies learned from a recent workshop led by Cathyrn Berger Kaye.
Mr. Davis first clarified the difference between community service and service learning, as well as the four types of service we could use as part of taking responsible action. Then teachers had an opportunity to connect the United Nations’ sustainable development goals (SDGs) with issues that they feel strongly about.
