Grade Seven students have been learning about Ancient Greek democracy and the difficulty of having every citizen debate every issue. They constructed arguments and then debated them in a recreated Ekklesia, or assembly. They are deepening their understanding how how to argue effectively, and the different ways that civilizations tried to use democracy.
