Grade 9 this week were looking at Electrolysis.We started by discussing electric current carriers(electrons) in conductors such as metals and (ions) in acqueous solutions such copper sulfate and sodium chloride.Students were also able to test for conductors of electricity and we carried out electrolysis of copper sulphate to sum up the sub-topic.
Grade 10 this week worked on Energy flow in Ecosystems. Students also had to research and present to the class on Human influence on Ecosystems with discussions revolving around: deforestation,pollution,conservation of resources,carbon cycle,global warming and sustainable practices.
