December already! Time flies when you are having fun.
This last week has been very intense in terms of lab work. We have done practical work in Biology and Chemistry grade 11 (rate of catalase enzyme action, determination of concentration of reducing sugars using a colorimetric method and investigating the action of the enzyme invertase). In terms of topics covered, grade 11 Biology students are studying enzymes, grade 11 Chemistry students studied covalent bonding, grade 12 Biology students finished talking about digestion and grade 12 Chemistry students covered the Biochemistry option.
We will continue completing topics next week, although before that we will take a well deserved bank holiday break.
