Grade 8 is currently studying Forces and Motion in Science. This week, we looked at different forces and how we can measure them, with a particular focus on gravitational force. The students measured the mass and weight of a number of different objects (for example shoes, books, staplers, water bottles and even a ponytail). They even succeeded in deriving the equation that will allow them to calculate the weight of an object on other planets by finding the pattern and link between measured masses and weights.
