This week, the G9 and G10 Global Perspectives students were treated to an excellent guest speaker on the topic of “Sustainability”. Sean Spratley – Environmental Manager – Strategic and Precious Metal Processing LLC here in Sohar has the goal of Zero Environmental Impact for his company. He shared his wide ranging background which showed his passion for “leaving the environment the same or better” than it was when he started with it.
Mr. Spratley who was formerly a high school science teacher loves working with students and local communities on ways to reduce environmental impact. He is interested in working with ABIS to develop our recycling program, and is involved in building a facility for recycling plastics, glass, and metal. Clearly Mr. Spratley will be a great resource as we develop a 21st Century school that is dedicated to Eco-friendly best practices.
