Ms. Zuweina and Ms. Amira kicked off Book Week, and were the Mystery Readers for Grades 3-6 students! Something Else by Kathryn Cave was the bilingual (Arabic-English) picture book that was shared. In 1997, the book received the International UNESCO prize for Children’s and Young People’s Literature in the Service of Tolerance. Ms. Zuweina used puppets and read the Arabic version while Ms. Amira read the English version.
