Grade 9 this began investigating rates of chemical reactions this week. The explored the effect of temperature on how quickly sulphur precipitate was produced, which turned the solution cloudy, therefore making the cross underneath disappear. 
G11 Physics continued looking at wave interference, learning for example about the Science behind the colourful patterns on the top of oil spills. They also replicated Young’s double slit experiment by shining red laser light through a double slit, which produced a very clear interference pattern with its characteristic bright and dark fringes.
