Everyday around the world literally millions of disposable water bottles with water still inside them are abandoned and discarded; ending up as ‘garbage’. This scenario plays out in ABIS classrooms everyday as well. G5 has been collecting this rejected water for inquiry and ecological purposes.
On average, how much water is wasted when an ABIS student brings a disposable water bottle to school? Grade 5 knows. Ask your son or daughter about the mathematical, investigative process they went through to find the answer and how they were able to return the water to the water cycle. If your son or daughter usually brings a disposable water bottle to school please talk to them about a more eco-friendly alternative.
