Wow, we had such a fun filled day yesterday! We started our day with a trip to Al Hazm fort. We LOVED exploring the secret tunnel in the fort and seeing all the prisoners in the prison. Al Hazm fort is super exciting and a bit scary! We learned lots about Omani history from our tour. After lunch at the falaj, we heading back to school. Once back at school Claire and Hoor took the students to play some games until the pizza arrived. After pizza we watched 2 movies AND 1 episode of Mr. Bean. Pretty much everyone was asleep around 9:30 and awake at 5:30! The call to prayer woke most of us up this morning, including myself, and even though I prayed that the children would fall back asleep…. they didn’t. We were all up and running around by 6:20am and had breakfast in our bellies by 7! We then worked hard on finishing up our Oman Week scrapbooks, we hope you enjoy reading them and looking at the pictures. We had such a wonderful week. Thank you to all the parents that helped out on the trips and to Ms. Camp for helping us too. And we owe Claire and Hoor a big thank you for organizing many activities for the children as well.
Today we also said a tearful goodbye to Lily and her family. Lily your beautiful smile and friendly personality will be greatly missed. We wish you all the best as you adjust to life back in Canada. I know that you will make many friends very quickly. We love you! Stay warm! Love Grade 2 xoxo
Wishing you all a restful weekend, I’m off to take a nap.
