K2 have been busy working as party planners this week. We planned a birthday party for Mr Dobee, he was delighted at his party today.
The students thought about what we need for a party and came up with the following ideas
* a reason to have a party
* people to come to the party
* party decorations
* party food
We started by making invitations to ask our friends in K1 and K3 to come to the party.
Then we practiced cutting skills and team work to make paper chains. We were problem solvers as we experimented to to find out whether Sellotape, glue or staples were the best fasteners.
K2 mathematicians then compared the lengths of the chains , we counted the links in the chain but then decided it was quicker to measure the chains side by side.
K2 chefs then made and iced cakes.
