Our Grade 12 IBDP Biology students kicked off their new unit on Ecology this week with fantastic enthusiasm! Over the coming weeks, the class will dive into the mechanisms driving biodiversity, exploring how new species emerge through speciation, the delicate balance of ecosystem stability, and the pressing realities of global climate change.

This vital unit offers students deep insights into the fundamental processes that govern our planet. Beyond building essential scientific knowledge, the planned investigations, collaborative debates, and case studies are designed to challenge their critical thinking and sharpen their communication skills.

It was inspiring to see such curiosity and lively discussion in our introductory sessions. We look forward to seeing our young biologists connect classroom concepts to real-world environmental challenges as the unit unfolds. Have a wonderful weekend!
