We are currently looking at how the words of a few provided a voice and a vision for the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The poemStrange Fruit, the short story The Lynching of Jube Benson, Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech and the film The Great Debaters will be our primary sources for this unit.
