This past week at ABIS, our school community came together to celebrate the joy of reading during our much-anticipated Book Week—and what a fantastic week it was!

Students across the primary school eagerly took part in a Raz Kids reading challenge, with over 125 participants diving into books and building their reading skills. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for literacy both inside and outside the classroom.

During morning breaks, excitement filled the air as children searched for Wally around the school, earning stickers from Ms. Maryam when they found him. This added a playful sense of adventure to each day. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s book swap was a great success, with many students exchanging books and discovering new reads to enjoy at home.

One of the highlights of the week was our Reading Buddies activity, where older students partnered with younger ones to share stories. This special time not only supported reading development but also helped build meaningful connections across year levels.

We wrapped up the week in style with a fun dress-up day, where students came dressed as their favorite book characters, bringing stories to life all around the school.

It truly was an amazing week filled with reading, creativity, and community spirit—just another example of what makes ABIS such a special place to learn and grow.
