This week in How We Organize Ourselves, we explored how communities are built and how people work together to help our community run smoothly. As part of our learning, students worked together to create a class community display using 2D shapes. We used circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles to design homes, buildings, roads, and community places. Students practiced spotting shapes, naming them, and using them to build pictures, showing that shapes are all around us in our community!

We also welcomed parent visitors who shared their roles in our community. Students asked questions and made connections to real life. To finish the week, we began informational writing about the important people in our community and how they help us.

Thank you for your continued support!
