A hugely BUSY week in grade 6 as we work our way though the ministry exams, prepare and perform the music concert, eye up next week’s Sports Day and try to make as much progress in the PYP Exhibition as possible (difficult given the above list).

This week the Exhibition’s focus was very much upon documenting our new knowledge and creating artifacts that show our learning journey. That way we will clearly have evidence of our growth and will have lots of interesting areas that we can show and tell about at our Exhibition finale.

In Seesaw, please find…

  • An example of an artifact they have made
  • The outline for their art component of the Exhibition
  • Possible next steps as we approach line of inquiry 2
  • Thinking Skills (reflections)

In Maths this week…

  • Understanding (and testing) the difference between theoretical and experimental probability

Next Week

  • Filling in remaining holes of the first part of the inquiry
  • Starting to work on the communication ‘story mountain’
  • Considering the concepts of causation, connection and perspective to work out next steps
  • Designing a dynamic second line of inquiry
  • Making work commitments for the long holiday period

Important Dates

Due to the PE Sports Day on Tuesday 16th, we will not be hosting the next Exhibition ‘Open House’ for parents on this day. New information about the next date will be sent soon.

Have a great weekend and please ask your child about their Exhibition and how you may be able to assist and support them.
