This week in Grade 1B we continued our Who We Are unit by building our class community: students created “Who I Am” self-portraits and shared favourites, interviewed classmates and recorded results with tally marks, and co-wrote our 1B Class Agreements (listening ears, kind words, walking feet, taking turns, tidying up, trying again, and asking for help). We also introduced the Zones of Regulation language to help us name feelings and choose kind, helpful actions like welcoming new friends, inviting others to play, and sharing materials so everyone can participate.
