Dear Parents and Students,

It has been a wonderful start to the school year, and I am delighted to share what we’ve been learning in Mathematics across the 9th grade.. Alongside getting to know each other, we’ve laid some strong foundations for our learning journey ahead.

We started the year with a short icebreaker activity where students linked everyday situations to mathematical ideas. This opened up some thoughtful discussions.

From there, we began our learning with exponents and used them in problem-solving activities.

Spotlight: A few students showed great persistence in tackling tricky exponent problems independently before asking for help.

🔎 Looking ahead: We’ll dive into negative and fractional exponents next week.
