Good afternoon,

Wednesday, 21st May: Superhero Day KG1 class are excited to announce that next Wednesday, will be Superhero Day in our class! On this day, KG1 children are invited to wear or bring a superhero costume to school. They may choose to dress as a well-known superhero such as Spiderman, Catwoman, or Batman, or they are equally welcome to come as a superhero version of themselves — for example, I might be “Super Kristina”! Please don’t worry if you don’t have anything at home to create a costume — we will have a few extra props available in class to make sure no one misses out. Throughout the day, alongside our regular learning areas, the children will be invited to create superhero-themed props and engage in related imaginative play.

Summer Concert -Thursday, 29th May: A reminder that next Thursday, 29th May, the children from KG1 to Grade 2 will be performing in their Summer Concert. The concert will take place in the Mazoon from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. More information will follow via email about this event. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the children’s hard work and enthusiasm!

After visiting Ms Amina, our school nurse, last week as part of our inquiry into how different people help keep our community working well, the children were excited to put their learning into action through imaginative play at our in-class nurse’s station. Together with Ms Rahma, they took turns playing the roles of nurse and patient—treating headaches, sore arms, stomach aches, and more. They particularly loved using their newly-learned bandaging skills during this fun, interactive experience. This learning engagement helped the children further explore and appreciate the important role our nurse plays in keeping our school community safe and healthy. You can see some photos from the activity below.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend,

Kristina, Buthina and Rahma
