I’m writing to share some exciting developments in our middle and high school curriculum. Our 7th graders have just embarked on a fascinating interdisciplinary unit exploring the powerful connection between music and emotions. This unit will delve into how different musical elements can evoke a wide range of feelings, fostering both their musical appreciation and their understanding of human psychology. I´m looking forward to seeing the creative ways they connect these two compelling subjects.
Moving into the upper grades, our 8th-grade students are beginning to focus on the technical aspects of playing their chosen instruments. This dedicated time will allow them to build a strong foundation in instrumental techniques, preparing them for more advanced musical endeavors in the future. Further down the line, our 10th graders are engaging in thought-provoking explorations of protest as it manifests in various art forms beyond music. This challenging unit encourages critical thinking and a deeper understanding of how art can reflect and influence societal issues.
Finally, we’ve recently celebrated the completion of the Diploma Programme for our graduating students. I am proud of their hard work, dedication, and growth throughout their DP journey.
